What happens during an EPC assessment?

An assessor visits the property to record relevant features such as building construction, glazing, heating and insulation. The information is used to calculate the energy rating.

What is an EICR?

An Electrical Installation Condition Report is an assessment of the condition of fixed electrical installations, including circuits and protective devices.

Who may need an EICR?

Landlords, businesses and homeowners commission EICRs for safety and to meet applicable legal or contractual requirements.

How often are EICRs required for rented homes in England?

Private rented properties in England generally require inspection and testing at least every five years, or sooner where the previous report recommends it. Specific property types and circumstances can differ.
