What is an EPC?
An Energy Performance Certificate rates a property’s energy efficiency from A to G and provides recommendations that may improve performance.
When is an EPC needed?
An EPC is generally required when a property is marketed for sale or rent, subject to exemptions. Domestic and non-domestic properties have different assessment methods.
How long is an EPC valid?
An EPC is normally valid for ten years. Check whether an existing valid certificate already covers your property.

The advertised guide prices are £65 for studio–3 bedrooms, £75 for 4–5 bedrooms and £89 for 6–7 bedrooms. Properties with more than seven bedrooms require a quote.
What happens during an EPC assessment?
